On July 19, the wide-scale road show “ITPU 2022” in the cities of Uzbekistan ended as part of the open days of IT Park University. The purpose of this road show is to acquaint young people with the first online university and talk about the possibilities of the university.
Representatives of IT Park and EPAM, divided into two teams, went on an amazing trip. They visited 12 cities of the republic, where they met with about 2,000 young people as part of the ITPU 2022 road show.
Team 1 was represented by IT Park COO Abdulahad Kuchkarov, ITPU COO Mikhail Bogatyrev, Aziza Shomamatova, Senior Specialist for regional affairs at ITPU, EPAM programmer Khojarbu Khaitmetova, and EPAM Systems Junior Software Testing Engineer Munisa Azimkhojayeva.
The members of Team 2 were: Bohodir Ayupov, Advisor to IT Park Director, Aziza Abdurakhmonova, .NET EPAM Systems Developer, Konstantin Ovsyannikov, Head of ITPU Academic Programs Department, and Sardor Rajapov, ITPU Digital Marketer.
Starting points were Namangan and Samarkand. It was from these two cities that the great journey of the IT Park and EPAM Systems teams began on July 15.
In Namangan, the event was held in the building of the Youth Center, where 220 young people gathered, and in Samarkand - in the building of the IT Park branch, where about 50 future students came. During the organized sessions, experts told visitors about the prospects for graduates of this university, about the advantages of the online learning format, the main elective courses of ITPU, and admission requirement.
On the same day, meetings were held in two more cities. In Margilan, the speakers gathered about 150 people in the building of the Center for Digital Technologies, and in Navoi — just over 200 people in the building of the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment.
The second day of the trip was just as busy as the first. The IT Park and EPAM Systems teams held events in three cities at once: Andijan, Bukhara and Karshi. Days of open doors were held in the buildings of the Youth Center of each city. In Andijan and Bukhara, the session brought together approximately 50-60 people in each city, while the event in Karshi was attended by about 200 people.
The next point in the road show was a trip to Termez on July 17, where a seminar was held in the building of the Youth Center and told to young children and their parents about the prospects of the IT direction, as well as a presentation of a new online university. Termez gathered a record number of visitors — about 250 people.
On July 18, one of the teams went to Jizzakh and Gulistan. In Jizzakh, the meeting was held in the building of the Youth Media Center. In Gulistan, the event was held at the Barkamol Avlod Center. In total, more than 400 people gathered in both cities. Young people listened attentively to the speakers and asked questions of interest.
The final day of our fascinating tour fell on July 19. The last stops were two cities: Nurafshan and Urgench, which brought together approximately 400 people in total.
In Nurafshan, the presentation of IT Park University was held in the building of the Youth Center, and in Urgench — in the building of the IT Park branch. There, as in other cities as part of the tour, young children and their parents were explained that in order to study at ITPU, they do not need to move to the capital or even to the administrative centers of their regions — it will be possible to study from home or IT Park offices (in the capital or regional).
In each of the cities, at the end of the event, a coffee break was organized for visitors to give them the opportunity to exchange views on information about the university. In addition, prize draws were held among the participants.
At the end of the meeting, the most active participants in all cities were presented with souvenirs from IT Park University.
Recall that the founders of the university were IT Park and the EPAM Company with the support of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications. The university program is aimed at training specialists in modern and popular areas in IT. Since technologies are actively developing, and Uzbekistan has taken a course towards the transition to the digitalization of the economy, professions from the IT sphere are currently particularly relevant and in demand.
Open days are also scheduled in August in two more cities, Tashkent and Nukus. Exact dates and times will be announced later.
