Joint KOICA and IT Park training to improve employee skills

On March 24-25, 2023, KOICA Agency, Gyeongbuk Technopark and IT Park jointly held the training to improve employee skills. Within the framework of the last training, seminars were organized on the IT Park capacity building strategy, a seminar on the management system of the Korean Gyeongbuk Technopark and a series of team building events for IT Park Uzbekistan employees.

The main purpose of the training was to improve the competence of the staff and the professional qualifications of the employees.

The event was attended by First Deputy Director of IT Park Abdulahad Kuchkarov, Director of the KOICA Uzbekistan Park Sunjin, Director of the Center for International Cooperation in the Development of Gyeongbuk Technopark Kim Yangjin, Team Leader of the Korean Association for the Promotion of Technoparks Jeong Se Eun, also an expert of the Korean Association technology park promotion Kim Tae Jin.

The training was opened by the Director of KOICA Uzbekistan Park Sujin, as well as the director of the Center for International Cooperation in the Field of Development of the Gyeongbuk Technopark Kim Yangjin.

During the training, Kim Tae Jin, an expert at the Korea Technology Park Promotion Association, presented the results of KOICAʼs activities on the project Creating the Foundation and Strengthening the Potential for Sustainable Growth of IT Park in Uzbekistan, highlighting its goals, achievements and further development mechanisms. He also emphasized the role of IT Park in promoting the development of the IT industry in Central Asia and shared plans for further cooperation of Korean technoparks with IT Park Uzbekistan.

The Director of the Center for International Development Cooperation Kim Yangjin made a presentation of the Gyeongbuk Technopark, where she spoke in detail about its goals and achievements. She explained the role of Gyeongbuk Technopark in promoting the development of the IT industry in Korea and emphasized that Gyeongbuk is the best technopark in the country and has been awarded the S category (the highest score in the Korean grading system) for the past three years.

After the official part, IT Park employees held a team building with the participation of KOICA and Gyeongbuk technopark employees. The team building consisted of performances in the format and a startup competition, where 4 teams from IT Park employees presented their projects prepared as part of the team building. Korean representatives acted as a jury and announced the winners of the startup competition, which were subsequently awarded gift certificates.

At the end of the training, First Deputy Director of IT Park Abdulahad Kuchkarov and Director of Gyeongbuk Technopark Kim Yangjin made a final speech and exchanged gratitude for joint work and hopes for strong cooperation in the future.
