On December 15, a delegation of the Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic visited IT Park Uzbekistan. The purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with the IT and labor market trends of Uzbekistan, and the activities of IT Park.
The delegation included: Head of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic Jipara Mambetova, Chief Specialist of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic Arlen Aliyasov, Head of the Insan-Leilek Public Foundation Gulnara Derbisheva and expert of the secretariat of the Migration Council under the Speaker of the Kyrgyz Republic Parliament Ulan Shamshiev.
During the visit, the guests were told about the positive changes that have taken place in the IT sector in recent years. Thus, they were introduced to tax preferences and benefits, projects in the field of IT education and IT infrastructure in the country.
Also, the representatives of the delegation got acquainted about the formation of Uzbekistan as a regional IT hub, emphasizing the presence in the country of all the necessary conditions and the support provided by the state.
In addition, the guests learned about the significant achievements of IT Park in terms of increasing the volume of IT exports and the number of resident IT companies; a large-scale online IT training project “One Million Uzbek Coders” and projects to support and attract women and youth to IT being implemented in the country, according to which 2.5 million people obtained a fundamental IT education.
Particular emphasis during the dialogue was placed on the development of the BPO direction in both countries, the opportunities created for BPO companies, the increase in jobs in this direction and its positive impact on the country's economy.
After the main part of the presentation, the guests were given a tour of the territory of the IT Park complex. The Kyrgyz side noted the rapidly growing IT market in Uzbekistan and the positive effect of ongoing programs to develop the ICT industry and educational programs.
The parties agreed on further support for bilateral cooperation and on the readiness to exchange experience and knowledge in the direction of the development of the IT industry.
