During a recent business trip to Portugal, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, Farkhod Ibragimov, accompanied by Advisor to the CEO, Ahmed Aboulezz, held a meeting with Intelcia's Sales and Business Development Director, Zeinul Jamal. The discussions focused on opportunities in Uzbekistan created for ITes-companies to expand to the new markets.
Intelcia is a global leader in providing shore, nearshore, and offshore services across four main clusters: Multichannel CX Solutions, Business Processes, IT Solutions, and Innovative & Consulting Solutions. Founded in 2005, the company operates 85 centers in over 10 countries, including France, Portugal, Spain, the UK, the US, and Colombia, and employs more than 40,000 people globally. In 2023, Intelcia reported a revenue of over $790 million. Intelcia currently provides services in 16 languages.
The delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan presented the country’s young, talented workforce with a high literacy rate and fluency in multiple foreign languages, which can support Intelcia’s aim of creating a multilingual hub. Farkhod Ibragimov emphasized the potential for finding young talent fluent in German, English, French, and other languages, aligning well with Intelcia’s goals.
The parties discussed the strategic advantages of Uzbekistan, including the country's position as a bridge between East and West, its linguistic diversity, and the growing pool of digitally skilled talent.
Farkhod Ibragimov highlighted that IT services and products currently account for over 57% of the country’s exports, while business services comprise 27%. For foreign companies, establishing an office in Uzbekistan could leverage this diverse talent pool and support expansion across all four of the company’s service areas.
The IT Park delegation also noted Uzbekistan's favorable tax regime, government support, and IT Visa opportunities that would enable companies to bring in key personnel to train local talent. Mr. Farkhod Ibragimov extended an invitation to Intelcia's delegation to visit Uzbekistan and explore the business environment and infrastructure firsthand.
Both parties agreed to continue discussions on partnership conditions and explore Uzbekistan as a hub for IT services and technologies, learning the country’s capabilities in language skills, competitiveness, and innovation. Establishment of foreign ITes-companies in Uzbekistan would also contribute to job creation, particularly in regional areas, and enhance the country's economic development through initiatives like the Zero Risk program.
