Minister of ICT Sherzod Shermatov visited the technology hub “IMPACTT” from the resident of IT Park

 On February 26, 2022, the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov visited the “IMPACTT” technology hub from the resident of IT Park “Newmax Technologies”, which opened its doors in January of this year.

 The meeting was also attended by IT Park Director Farhod Ibragimov, “IMPACTT” founder Akmal Payziev and “IMPACTT” Director Maftuna Akhadova.

 During the visit, the guests were given a tour of the modern “IMPACTT” hub and talked about its activities.

 It is noteworthy that the name of the project “IMPACTT” implies a territory of influence (Impact Territory - IMPACTT).  The hub director notes that “IMPACTT” is a place for people with global ambitions.

 The technology hub includes:

 1. Coworking area

 “We give jobs for rent.  Now people are moving away from renting offices, because they understand that working in a freer atmosphere, where you can come and go at any time, is much more efficient than on a strict schedule - from 9:00 to 18:00”, – Maftuna Akhadova emphasized.

 2. Academy

 IT-Academy operates on the basis of the hub.  At the academy, young people are taught programming, in particular, frontend and backend development.

 3. Events

 The purpose of the hub is to develop the IT community of Uzbekistan.  The hub will bring together specialists in the field of IT, entrepreneurship, as well as startup founders and other experts.  Speakers will come to the hub and share their experience with meetup participants.  To date, the hub has organized 4 meetings, during which the participants talked on various topics in the IT field.

 “Perhaps the hub will become the birthplace of startups, like-minded teams that will unite and work together on projects of various sizes,” – said the director of “IMPACTT”.

 4. Venture studio

 A venture studio based on the “IMPACTT” hub was created to help young enthusiasts with promising start-up ideas and provide comprehensive support.

 In addition, the hub includes a coworking area, separate rooms for work and meetings, recreation areas, a coffee shop, etc.

 Minister of ICT Sherzod Shermatov noted the infrastructure and opportunities provided by “IMPACTT”.  It was emphasized that the Ministry and IT Park are ready to provide comprehensive support for the development of the hub.
