Modern information technology learning center opened in IT Park Tashkent

On November 30, 2021, a modern information technology learning center was opened at the IT Park branch in Tashkent, wich was implemented with the assistance of the National Information Society Agency of the Republic of Korea (NIA) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea Heo In-Su, Head of the National Information Society Agency (NIA) expert group Ko Taek Jin, Deputy Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Oleg Pekos, Director of IT Park Farkhod Ibragimov were the main participants of the opening ceremony.



The opening ceremony began with a welcoming speech by the Minister, who noted that today the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea have established extensive bilateral partnerships. Along with other areas, cooperation in the field of ICT is also developing at a dynamic pace.

The head of the NIA expert group Ko Tek Jin, in turn, noted the great potential of the information technology sector in Uzbekistan and expressed interest in contributing to the development of this industry in the country.

The Uzbek-Korean Information Technology Center was implemented by the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, IT Park, NIA and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). ITU has provided the center with the necessary equipment and technology for teaching IT-specializations to hearing-impaired children.
