On October 27, the opening ceremony of BPO Center was held in Samarkand with the support of the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications, IT Park, the Ministry of Economic Development and Poverty Reduction and the United Nations Development Program.
The event was attended by the Minister of ICT Sherzod Shermatov, Khokim of Samarkand region Erkinjon Turdimov, Director of IT Park Uzbekistan Farhod Ibragimov and others.
The new BPO Center will provide support to foreign logistics companies. At the initial stage, the company created 40 new jobs. In the future, the staff will increase. Recall that IT Park helps BPO companies with registration, search and equipment of the office and recruitment, as well as provides preferential rent for the first six months and, if necessary, helps in communication with government agencies.
Thanks to these steps, the export of IT services is increasing every year. For comparison: the number of BPO companies at the end of 2021 was 45, in 2022 – 125. The volume of IT-export at the end of the 3rd quarter of 2022 amounted to $82 million, of which $38 million fell on the export of services of BPO companies.
