Opening of the first incubation center in the region!

On December 25, 2020, the incubation center was opened at the Karshi Engineering and Economic Institute in Karshi city, Kashkadarya region. This incubation center is the first and so far the only one established in the region of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The creation of incubation centers at universities in Kashkadarya region was carried by the order of the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 24, 2020 No. 02-3310 “On the creation of incubation centers on a park of software products and information technologies in higher educational institutions of Kashkadarya region” and the establishment of their activities.

The Khokim of Kashkadarya region Z.T. Mirzaev, the Director of IT Centers M.A. Kuchkarov, the Rector of the Institute O.Sh. Bazarov, as well as active youth and students attended the opening ceremony.

During the opening, the guests of the incubation center managed to get acquainted with the future activities of the center, as well as with start-up projects presented by the students of the university.

This incubation center will boost the potential of university students in the field of IT and promote the startup ecosystem among them, thereby motivating them to create high-tech products and startups. Furthermore, the incubation center will conduct training in information technology based on the program of the One Million Uzbek Coders project.

It should be noted that Kashkadarya students have an opportunity to develop products not only with their groupmates or coursemates, but also with students of other universities with the help of collaboration and joint work. In other words, students are not limited with their work and can implement their projects with students of other universities.

It is worth reminding that the main goal of creating incubation centers at higher educational institutions is to increase the quality and number of innovative projects created among talented youth. The incubation center, in turn, will create favorable conditions for students for the emergence of effective activities of small innovative projects that implement original scientific and technical ideas.

In total, incubation centers are planned to be launched in the following 5 universities of Kashkadarya region:

Karshi branch of Tashkent University of Information Technologies

Karshi State University

Karshi branch of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers

Shakhrisabz branch of Tashkent State Pedagogical University

Shakhrisabz branch of the Tashkent Chemical-Technological Institute

In Tashkent incubation centers have already been launched in 5 universities such as: Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, the Branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Tashkent, Tashkent State Economic University, Inha University in Tashkent, Tashkent Financial University and Amity University in Tashkent.
