OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan, Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, and IT Park are launching an incubation program for IT startups in Fergana

OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO UN) and with the support of IT Park, announces the commencement of the application process for an incubation program for IT startups in Fergana.

The incubation program is an extensive initiative designed to support early-stage startups with innovative ideas and teams or initial MVPs. It provides startups with access to the resources and support necessary for their growth and development.

The program will span one month and is designed to accommodate 15 IT startups. The training is oriented towards young entrepreneurs from the Fergana Valley engaged in developing innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of businesses across various sectors, including agrotech.

What awaits participants:

  • Training and Mentoring: Startups will gain access to an extensive training system and mentoring support from leading experts in agriculture, technology, and business.
  • Support in Development and Implementation of IT Projects: Startups will receive active assistance during the program and in the post-incubation period to create and implement their innovative IT products and services.
  • Access to Infrastructure: Startups will have access to office spaces, equipment, and other resources.

The partnership between the OSCE, FAO UN, and IT Park will ensure that program participants have access to expert knowledge and resources essential for the successful development and implementation of innovations.

The incubation program is being conducted within the framework of two initiatives:

  • The Economic Development Support Program by OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Uzbekistan.
  • The Digital Villages Initiative by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (DVI).

The objective of the incubation program is to actively support the development of the startup ecosystem and businesses in Uzbekistan by stimulating innovation. It is anticipated that the program will contribute to the creation of new job opportunities and the economic development of the region.
