Participation of IT Park at KazanForum 2023

From May 18 to 19, the XIV International Economic Forum was held in Kazan: “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum 2023”, which was also attended by the delegation of IT Park Uzbekistan.

The purpose of the event is to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural ties between Russia and the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The forum platform annually gathers representatives of international organizations, public authorities, financial institutions, embassies, parliament deputies, leading investors and businessmen, top managers of Russian and foreign companies.

The trip was an opportunity to meet with leading logistics companies, explore the prospects for cooperation, and demonstrate the countryʼs potential as a destination for investment in education. During the forum, the delegation of Uzbekistan held a number of meetings with companies such as T4DATA, GenIT, Tattrans logistics, Innostage, MDEC, Top Franchise, Mobile Biometrics Solutions, ITC Iran TVTO, Single Broker and others.

The first day of the forum began with a panel discussion on the Developing Human Resources for the Modern Digital World, where delegates learned about the latest developments in the field. As part of this session, organized by Innopolis University, IT Park representatives spoke about such projects as One million Uzbek coders and Coursera, and described their work with residents and the process of providing preferences to them.

On the same day, a meeting was held with the leading investment attraction manager of Innopolis Aliya Islamova, who presented the activities of the city and its role in the development of the IT sector in the country.

The second day of the event began with a panel discussion on the International Skills and Professions Development Program, organized by the Agency for the Development of Professions and Skills (ADPS), ASI.

At the session, the participants listened to the report of IT Park Uzbekistan employees, who spoke about the development of IT education in the country: they presented the activities of ITPU and IT Centers, talked about benefits for educational residents, the IT Bilim project and the Coursera platform. Representatives of the delegation spoke about how these projects help young people get a decent education in the field of IT, and mentioned how business and education are combined to improve the quality of training programs and labor market interaction.

Additionally, within the framework of the forum, IT Park presented its activities to such companies as: Security code, GenIT, ROBBO, Innopolis, SolarLab, Element, Single broker, ITC-Iran TVTO, Royal industrial trading Co., ANP ZENIT, Eurasian Pattent Organization (EAPO), Machine-building cluster of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The delegation also held negotiations with a number of international companies participating in the forum, and proposed the opening of their offices in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that more than 16,000 people from 80 countries of the world took part in the forum in Kazan, which made it possible to establish new acquaintances and contacts for the countryʼs cooperation with international giants in joint trade, economic, scientific and technical projects, to raise awareness of the world community about the reforms taking place in these areas in Uzbekistan, and to study global trends and innovative solutions in the field of education.
