Projects selected for AloqaTechLab determined

On February 11, Tashkent branch of the Russian Economic University named after G.V. Plekhanov hosted a Pitch Day for startup projects for the second wave of the AloqaTechLab corporate accelerator.

AloqaTech Lab is a three-month corporate accelerator launched by IT Park, Aloqabank Commercial Bank and Aloqaventures Venture Fund. As part of the program, participants are provided with technical, financial and marketing support to launch projects, as well as work with experts.

In total, more than 100 applications were submitted for the program. 31 teams presented their projects to the jury — start-up teams with a developed business model and MVP, in the following areas: fintech, corporate technologies, big data technologies and artificial intelligence for business. Each team was given 3 minutes to present the product and 3 minutes for questions from the jury.

The members of the jury were:

 • Farrukh Maksumov — Representative of Plug and Play in Uzbekistan;

 • Jahongir Kagirov — Head of the Startup Ecosystem Development Department at IT Park;

 • Sukhrob Gaibullaev — Director of AloqaVentures;

 • Mirolim Abdullayev — AloqaVentures project manager;

 • Pulatjon Davronov — Project Manager at AloqaVentures;

 • Davron Parmanov — AloqaVentures project manager;

 • Azizbek Azizov — AloqaVentures consultant;

 • Dmitry Lepikhov — CEO of the American company MightyCall, the market leader in telephony for small businesses in the US and Canada.

Based on the results of Pitch Day, the following projects were eligible for incubation and acceleration programs:

Pitch Day as part of the AloqaTech Lab project became the day when each of the participants took another important step towards their goals and dreams.
