Representatives of IT Park spoke about opportunities of education at the IT-Education Forum

On October 25, as part of ICT Week 2022, the IT Education Forum was held in the new international tourist center of Samarkand “Silk Road Samarkand”.

The “IT-Education” Forum is an opportunity to gain new knowledge in the field of IT-education and keep abreast of the latest news in a rapidly developing industry.  The event is aimed at studying innovative teaching methods, sharing experience and knowledge between leading countries, as well as discussing topical issues in the IT-education system.

During the Forum, successful professionals in the field of IT and education shared their knowledge and experience and discussed ways to solve existing problems.

As part of IT-Education, panel discussions and presentations by international experts from India, the USA, the Republic of Korea, the Republic of Belarus, and Estonia were held. In addition, the event brought together in one platform the heads of leading IT companies, founders of educational platforms and rectors of universities in Uzbekistan, such as IT Park, TUIT, Amity, Inha, Khan Academy Uzbek and so on.

In particular, IT Park Deputy Director for Digital Education Abdulahad Kuchkarov took part in a panel discussion on the topic “Development of IT-education in Uzbekistan and the role of international organizations in IT-education”.  The representative of IT Park spoke about the organization's educational projects implemented jointly with international partners, such as: Youth Digital Skills (empowerment of young people, especially women, by building digital entrepreneurship skills, digital tools and improving the enabling environment);  training program for the hearing impaired people;  Skills4Girls (inclusive educational courses for girls aged 12 to 18) and others.

Bokhodir Ayupov, General Director of IT Park University, acted as a moderator in the panel discussion on the topic “Possibilities of online education and its future”.  He spoke about the conditions created for ITPU students, noting that the universityʼs program is aimed at obtaining modern and in-demand professions in the field of IT, and a hybrid, mostly online format will allow students from all over the country to receive a specialty without having to move to the capital.

Recall that “ICT Week 2022” is held on October 24-27, 2022 in Samarkand.  ICT Week is organized to further stimulate the development of information and communication technologies, the information security and software market, to demonstrate achievements, opportunities, advantages and innovations.
