IT Park hosted a youth hackathon in collaboration with Cambridge International University and ‘Millat Umidi’ Foundation’s support. The hackathon took place on June 3–5 as part of the Cambridge Coding Festival among 16-20 year olds.
Contestants are given 72 hours (hackathon envisages a limited timeframe in which participants should create a product prototype or startup project) to develop an MVP for an IT solution.
Hackathon received over 350 applications across the country involving over 200 participants that have united into more than 60 teams. 45 made it to the final.
The winning team will be awarded 50 000 000 UZS out of contest’s 100 000 000 UZS prize fund. The 1st runner up will be awarded 30 000 000 UZS and 2nd runner up gets 20 000 000 UZS.
Winners’ list:
1st place – the Phoenix team (has developed an educational platform based on WEB 3.0. - a website with courses that pays with tokens for completing tasks on time);
2nd – SearchBusters team (has developed a unique tool for the browser, with the help of which the user can easily get an access to the English-speaking part of the Internet in his native language);
3rd – BBC team (has developed a sales platform for furniture, with the introduction of the AR system, in order to make a selection and further purchase easier).
Furthermore, Green White Solutions, a resident of IT Park, has allocated 30 000 000 UZS for 3 nominations (10 000 000 UZS each) to support active girls of hackathon. The winners in the following categories were:

The most active participant - Umarova Sevara, «hBack» team.
