Results of Pitch Day within the framework of the second Tumaris.Tech program

IT Park, with the support of the USAID Entrepreneurship and Business Environment Development Project, Digital-Operator Beeline Uzbekistan, the Wonder Women international community, TBC Bank, and Huawei, launched the second Central Asian program for the development of womenʼs startup projects at various stages as part of the Tumaris.Tech project.

On December 9, Pitch Day was held for startups in the Tumaris.Tech program, where novice teams with a startup idea and more experienced teams with a developed business model and MVP took part.

From the countries of Central Asia, 87 applications were submitted, of which 47 projects were presented at Pitch Day. No more than three minutes were given for the presentation of the startup, and 2 minutes for communication with the jury.

Following the results of Pitch Day, 13 projects from Uzbekistan, 14 from Kazakhstan, 7 from Kyrgyzstan, 1 from Tajikistan were selected for incubation and acceleration programs.

The members of the jury were:

  • Anna Matsko – coordinator of the Wonder Women mentoring program;
  •  Zaytuna Saydullaeva – Executive Director of Beehive Design&Development;
  • Vladimir Drogan – CEO at Roonyx.tech, Ziferblat.me;
  • Yusuf Sirojiddin – founder of the company “Web Cream”;
  • Madina Musurmankulova – the Acting Head of the Digital Transformation Department.

Recall that the incubation and acceleration programs will start on December 12 and will be held in Russian for 2 months in an online format.  Program participants will have educational and strategic sessions with international experts, tracking with trained specialists, financial literacy courses, oratory and time management workshops, consultations on issues of interest, networking among the startup community.

The best projects will have the opportunity to visit the international exhibition of start-up projects in Tashkent. In addition, the most promising projects will be able to gain access to the investment platform, thanks to which they will be able to find an investor to implement their project.
