From July 7 to 9, the international Digital Leadership Forum, one of the most significant events in the field of digital leadership, was held in Tashkent for the first time. The event, which was held with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies and IT Park, gathered leading experts and representatives of BPOs and outsourcing companies, as well as leading consultants and specialists in investment, export and attraction of outsourcing companies.
During the forum, B2B meetings were organized with leading experts from international organizations, agencies, such as: NewMark, Unido Digital Media, Ryan Strategic Advisоry, Fingar Direct Investment, Webster Global Site Selector, CX Innovation Institute, TrendzOwl and others.
On July 8, the IT Park team met with the founder of the consulting company Fingar Direct Investment, Courtney Fingar, with whom they managed to discuss issues of assistance in promoting Uzbekistan as a regional IT hub and attracting global IT companies to the country.
Courtney Fingar spoke positively about IT Park, noting its support and assistance in the development of the sector:
“This is a very appropriate moment for Uzbekistan to declare itself as a new IT hub. The moment is appropriate for a number of reasons: firstly, in a global sense, IT is one of the few sustainable sectors of foreign direct investment (FDI); secondly, Uzbekistan is undergoing a transformation in this area, because many reforms have been carried out that have made the business environment truly attractive: you have a workforce, talent, will, government support and quality, and all this at average prices.
The only negative in my opinion is that the world probably doesn't yet know enough about what Uzbekistan has to offer. But it seems that this has also changed, the forum proved it”, – Fingar shared her impressions about Uzbekistan.
Courtney Fingar is one of the world's foremost experts on foreign direct investment (FDI) and a well–known commentator on international investment trends with more than 20 years of media experience.
