Span Explores Opportunities for Collaboration with IT Park Uzbekistan

Representatives of IT Park Uzbekistan held a meeting with Mr. Nikolo Dujmović, CEO of Span, to discuss prospective avenues for collaboration. Span expressed interest in expanding its operations to Uzbekistan, with plans to commence activities in January 2025.   

Span is a prominent IT company specializing in software development, IT consulting, and digital transformation services. Founded in 1993 in Zagreb, Croatia, the company operates in 16 countries worldwide. In 2023, its revenue amounted to €138 million, with a workforce exceeding 900 employees. Span has built a strong reputation as a reliable and valuable IT partner, serving renowned global enterprises such as Google, Microsoft, McDonald's, and Nando's.    

Focusing on delivering innovative solutions, Span collaborates with clients across diverse industries to enhance technological capabilities and optimize business processes. The company is particularly esteemed for its expertise in software development, cloud services, and IT infrastructure management.   

During the meeting, IT Park team presented the advantages of the country’s business environment and explored the potential establishment of a Span office within Uzbekistan. Span expressed interest in engaging local talent for its projects and leveraging government-backed support programs designed to assist IT-enabled services companies in expanding their activities to international markets. The office in Uzbekistan is anticipated to function as a regional hub for the Central Asian market.    

The discussion also included prospects for establishing an Academy aimed at strengthening the Uzbekistan’s human capital.  IT Park expressed its interest and readiness to actively support this initiative. As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to draft a roadmap to outline the implementation of agreed objectives and determine subsequent steps.     

The demonstrated interest from European enterprises such as Span serves as a significant driver for the advancement of Uzbekistan’s IT sector, fostering job creation and bolstering the nation’s export potential.
