Startuppers from Fergana became the winners of the Startup Choikhona Cup

From May 3 to 5, the Startup Choikhona Cup contest was held in Khujand, Tajikistan, organized at the initiative of the UNDP and the Tajik Business Incubator.

Startup Choikhona Cup is intended for startups from the Fergana Valley. Both existing entrepreneurs and newcomers with business ideas could participate.

The competition was held in the following areas:

•  IT solutions for industry;
•  digital health and medical technologies;
•  educational technologies;
•  technologies in agriculture and agribusiness;
•  e-commerce and IT services.

Participants from 15 cities and regions got the opportunity to present their projects in the contest: Fergana, Andijan, Namangan, Kokand, Isfara, Kanibadam, B. Gafurov, Khujand, Spitamen, Ch. Rasulov, Devashtich, Guliston, Buston, Mastchokh and Asht. In total, 30 pre-qualified participants took part in the offline events.

According to the results of the competition, the winners were projects from Uzbekistan:

• 1st place: AgroDoctor is a digital platform for farmers offering new methods and services for farming;
• 2nd place: Helper call center is a device that facilitates calling emergency assistance for the elderly and people with special needs;
• 3rd place: Dehkanbaba.uz is an online platform for buying and selling agricultural products, fruits and vegetables.

The winners of the Startup Choikhona Cup were presented with souvenirs, computer sets and laptops.
