From November 29 to December 7, 9 startups from Central Asia, including 5 from Uzbekistan, took part in the Innovation Journey training program as part of the FoundHer Central Asia project and the annual Plug and Play - Silicon Valley Winter Summit event in Silicon Valley.
This initiative was implemented thanks to the joint efforts of Plug and Play partners in Uzbekistan - the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, IT Park Uzbekistan, Aloqa Bank, as well as FoundHER initiative partners - USAID FGI and UNDP Uzbekistan.
Among the delegation participants were startups Realt24, Growy Me, Stemio, Dalatek, Botifi, Finagers, Easy Step, AIDentis, Cafem cosmetics, CyberNet, HyperApp, Oq Ot, Fibo Cloud and Ongila. During the summit, they actively explored cutting-edge innovations, participated in discussions and networking sessions, deepening the knowledge necessary for successful development in various industries.
As part of the trip, the startups visited the Plug and Play headquarters in Silicon Valley, where they received opportunities for training, networking and presenting their projects to venture investors.
The journey began with intensive training provided by experienced mentors and the Plug and Play team. The participants also visited the famous Stanford University, where they exchanged experiences with members of the university’s startup club.
The delegation also visited the Silkroad Innovation Hub, located in Palo Alto - a public space in Silicon Valley for startup founders from Central Eurasia, whose mission is to create a new digital Silk Road and promote the region's talent on the world stage.
During the visit, the three selected startups had the opportunity to present their innovative ideas to venture investors and entrepreneurs at the Silkroad Innovation Hub. After completion, a networking session between the participants took place.
Upon completion of the training, the delegation took part in the Plug and Play Silicon Valley Winter Summit, which took place from December 5 to 7 and brought together more than 3,000 startup ecosystem participants from all over the world. The summit became a platform for exchanging ideas, networking and forming valuable connections in the world of technology.
Startups from Uzbekistan had the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest industry trends, meet potential investors and establish partnerships with leading companies.
Managing Director of Plug and Play in Uzbekistan Felix Lammers noted:
“We are pleased to welcome the delegation from Uzbekistan to our event - Silicon Valley Winter Summit in California.
