Talents of “El-Yurt Umidi” choose IT Park Uzbekistan

IT Park Uzbekistan continues to attract young and promising specialists to its team. This summer, more than 20 students joined the organization, including 14 scholarship recipients of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation. The interns are enrolled at leading international universities such as the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, the University of Birmingham, Stony Brook University, KAIST (Korea), the University of York, and the University of Warwick.

The El-Yurt Umidi Foundation was established under the Agency for Civil Service Development under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to provide training and retraining for highly qualified professionals abroad. The program offers talented citizens the opportunity to study and undertake internships at leading universities and organizations worldwide, enabling them, upon their return to Uzbekistan, to strengthen priority sectors of the economy and the public sector.

Some participants are undertaking internships at IT Park’s headquarters in Tashkent, while others are placed at the regional office in Nukus. All interns have been provided with workplaces, mentorship, and opportunities to engage in projects across several areas: IT services export, startup and venture ecosystem development, resident monitoring, international cooperation, public relations, and human resources. Upon completion of the internship, IT Park will consider employment opportunities for the most motivated participants.

This summer, students from universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Korea also joined the program. More than half of the participants are El-Yurt Umidi scholars. They worked in the departments of startup ecosystem development, resident monitoring, public relations, strategy and analytics, as well as at IT Park’s regional office in Nukus.

Kelshinboev Mashkhurbek:
“I study International Relations and Economics at the University of Birmingham. The internship in the Soft Landing Department at IT Park has provided me with an excellent environment in which to strengthen my skills and increase my competitiveness in the market. My mentor explains tasks in detail and provides practical guidance. During this period, I significantly improved my computer literacy, a skill that is critically important for me.”

Sunnatbek Abdumalikov:
“I chose IT Park because of its modern infrastructure and facilities, as well as its strong programs for startup development and opportunities to gain international experience and connections. I am interning in the Soft Landing Department, where the atmosphere is welcoming, the environment is modern, and the culture is flexible.”

Mokhidil Ergasheva:
“I am currently studying at the University of Birmingham. At IT Park, I am interning in the HR Department. This is a unique opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in practice, to become acquainted with the internal processes of a large organization, and to work in a dynamic environment. What inspires me most is the atmosphere within the team: the sense of support and engagement makes the work not only productive but also genuinely enjoyable.”

This initiative is designed to address practical tasks and actively engage young professionals. IT Park is becoming a platform where knowledge acquired at leading international universities, their branches in Uzbekistan, and new-format educational centers is transformed into tangible products and services that enhance the human capital of the national IT sector.

IT Park Uzbekistan welcomes its cooperation with the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation and its support for young professionals. We are confident that such initiatives play a vital role in building a strong national IT ecosystem and in unlocking the potential of a new generation of leaders in the digital future.
