The delegation led by the khokim of Samarkand region got acquainted with the activities of Astrum IT Academy

A delegation consisting of head of the regional department of the Ministry of ICT of Samarkand region D. Khodjamberdiev, the first deputy head of the regional investment and foreign trade department Sh. Sabirov and other officials headed by the khokim of the Samarkand region Erkinjon Turdimov visited Astrum IT Academy, a resident of IT Park.

The purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with the activities of the educational institution and discuss future plans.

The leadership of the Academy told the guests about the university and its successes.  In addition, the parties discussed areas of cooperation.  Thus, the participants of the meeting planned to develop a project to create an IT academy in Samarkand region with the support of Astrum.

Recall that on July 29, the President met with representatives of  IT sector. Then the head of state visited the Austrum IT Academy in the Yukorichirchik district of Tashkent region and, through a video selector, talked with representatives of the IT-sector in the regions.

During the videoconference, the head of state made proposals for the development of the IT-industry in the country.  Based on them, Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave a number of instructions, including increasing the coverage and quality of the Internet, identifying talented youth in the field of IT and further expanding their support, creating IT Centers in the regions, etc.

At the same time, regional khokims were recommended to visit the Astrum IT Academy to see all the conditions and opportunities in the educational institution, and to establish at least one academy in each of the regions.
