From January 25 to 27, 2021, the IT Park delegation with several residents paid a visit to Turkey so as to establish cooperation between IT Park residents and Turkish IT companies and organizations, the promotion of IT Park residents in the Turkish market, as well as the export of IT services and exchange of experience in the development of a startup ecosystem.
It is well-known that there are overall 40 technoparks in the territory of Turkey. Their main fields are Talent Hub as well as the advancement of a research and technical base (R&D) knowledge and specialists in the Turkish market.
It should be noted the most profitable industries in Turkey are IT, information and communications, finance, healthcare, research, real estate and construction. Their monthly income is over $1,500-2,500. The average salary of a programmer in Turkey is $2,000-2,500. In Istanbul and other large cities, they can earn more.
When it comes to startup ecosystem, most of the startups can be found Istanbul because it has all the necessary conditions for the realization of the unusual ideas. According to official statistics, the majority of Turkey's residents are under 30. There are so many talented specialists in the country who are not afraid to implement the most non-standard ideas. Besides, more than 85% of the population of this country use smartphones. According to some statistics, the number of smartphones in Turkey is over 18.5 million. Turks are also among the most active visitors to online stores and internet banks. With this in mind, we can say that the people of Turkey enjoy using innovative technologies in their daily lives.
Hence IT Park with its residents visited Turkey to establish relationships with local technology parks and IT companies.
On January 25, 2021, the IT Park delegation conducted its first meeting with Istanbul Technical University and ITUARI Teknokent.
The First Deputy Director of IT Park Alisher Khafizov, Foreign Market Affairs Manager IT Park Mansur Mamajanov, General Manager of Istanbul Technikal University Professor Attila Dikbash, Chief Specialist for Incubation Programs of ITUARI Teknokent Guvench Sosen, Director of Business Development and communications Arzu Yerilmaz, General Director of Docline Shokhrukh Naimov, General Director of Greenwhite Solutions Abdukakhkhor Tashmukhamedov, Manager for International Projects of Eurosoft Ulugbek Nuriddinov attended the meeting.
During the meeting, both sides presented themselves, as well as discussed issues of residency, the benefits provided to residents of technoparks and so forth. Moreover, they discussed the possibilities of exchanging experience on SEED acceleration programs and increasing the export of IT services.
At the end of the meeting IT Park signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Istanbul Technical University and ITUARI Teknokent.
Afterwards, the delegation met with representatives of the Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
The Chief Consul of Uzbekistan in the city of Istanbul Amirsaid Agzamkhodjaev, the Head of the “Gul Production” company, the representative of the Uzbek Diaspora in Turkey Ergen Muattar and residents of IT Park attended the meeting.
While negotiating they raised the matters of promoting IT Park residents and distribution of their services in the Turkish market. The agreement was reached on cooperation between the parties in the field of IT.
As part of the main direction of work, they put forward a task to create a network of Turkish partners, cooperation with which will help to provide a strong reference for the formation of a trusting image of Uzbekistan and the competence of Uzbek IT companies.
Furthermore, they proposed a proposal of working with immigrants from Uzbekistan for the implementation of projects in the field of B2B, B2C, G2G, G2C both in Turkey and in other international markets.
On January 26, 2021, the IT Park delegation conducted meetings with “Yildiz Technopark”, “Partners to the Future” and “Ankageo”.
The Deputy General Director of Yildiz Technopark Isa T. Inchi, the Managing Partner of Yildiz Technopark Mustafa Mente, Chief Consul of Uzbekistan in Istanbul Amirsaid Agzamhodjaev, as well as delegation and residents of IT Park attended the meeting.
At the end of the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of cooperation between IT Park residents in programs to enter foreign markets, as well as participation in entrepreneurship programs on the campus of the Turkish Technopark in Silicon Valley.
As a result of the negotiations, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between IT Park resident Docline and Yildiz Technopark, after which the opening ceremony of Docline's representative office in Istanbul was held.
At a meeting with Partners to the Future and Ankageo, the parties discussed the potential implementation of 3D modeling of Uzbekistan's infrastructure through the use of drones and specially equipped machines for taking data in real time so as to form digital models with the ability to manipulate data.
The product was developed by Ankageo for municipal use, particularly in the area of Smart City, traffic control, municipal property control and management, and monitoring of the functionality of current infrastructure (roads, pipes, wire networks, etc.).
At the end of the meeting, Ankageo seemed to be interested in becoming an IT Park resident.
On January 27, 2021, the delegation met with representatives of the Human Resources Department of Turkey in the Administration of the President of Turkey, as well as with the “IHMG” company.
At the meeting, IT Park residents presented their services and gave a detailed information about themselves. They identify the general activities, in which it is possible to establish joint work both in Turkey and Uzbekistan.
In the end, Turkish side expressed their keen interest in promoting IT Park residents in the Turkish market.
On January 28, 2021, the IT Park delegation held a meeting with the KOSGEB company.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibilities of B2B cooperation between IT Park and KOSGEB, as well as the benefits of signing of a Memorandum with each other.
Following the meeting, the delegation continued their way and met with representatives of the Uzbek Embassy in Turkey.
During the meeting, both sides discussed the promotion of IT Park among compatriots in Turkey, as well as the development of a single trading platform for Uzbekistan and Turkey.
On the last day of their visit, they decided to meet with the Cyberpark company.
The parties conducted a productive conversation concerning the cooperation in terms of developing startups, incubation centers, as well as a program for entrepreneurial support for residents in Turkey and the practice of withdrawing residents of technology parks in Turkey to Silicon Valley. The delegation raised these issues to obtain experience from Turkey.
On the final day, January 29, 2021, an IT Park delegation visited the headquarters of the Turkic Council to inform them about what they have achieved during their visit.
