On November 11, the national holiday “Trade Union Day” is celebrated throughout the republic. Trade unions in our country are the largest public organization, with more than 6 million members, and their numbers are growing every day. Therefore, all workers and employees of the republic widely celebrate Trade Union Day as a significant date.
As part of this significant date, the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan held an event dedicated to sum up the results of the outgoing year. The event was opened by the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, Senator Rafikov Kudratulla Mirsagatovich, who delivered a congratulatory speech. During his speech, he noted that over the past 3 years, the number of union members in the country has been steadily increasing, emphasizing that this event marks the beginning of a new era in the history of trade unions.
“Under the leadership of the leader of the New Uzbekistan, trade unions have become an active force in society in implementing social support policies aimed at improving the lives of hardworking people. The main tasks of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan include providing personnel in the field of trade unions, further improving the system, widespread implementation of modern methods in this area, annual development of personnel potential in the industry, and ensuring decent working conditions in the country,” noted Kudratulla Rafikov.
At the award ceremony for trade union workers and activists, the results of the republican contest “The Most Exemplary Primary Organization” were announced, and IT Park declared the winner. The award for first place and a first-degree diploma were received on behalf of the organization by the chairman of the IT Park trade union, Akram Achilov Jalalitdinovich.
The main criteria for selecting winners in this competition were the development and execution of an inter-republican collective agreement during the current year, public control over compliance with labor legislation and labor protection, efforts to enhance the legal literacy and culture of union members, as well as participation in the regulation of labor relations.
Itʼs worth noting that in July of this year, IT Park became the winner in the competition “The Most Exemplary Primary Organization” among unions registered in Tashkent by the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan. Winning the competition not only underscores the professionalism and effectiveness of IT Park but also strengthens its reputation as a model for other organizations striving for high standards in their activities.
The competition is held every two years with the main goal of recognizing and encouraging exemplary activities of primary trade union units operating in enterprises and organizations throughout the country, as well as spreading their advanced experience and strengthening their role in the socio-economic life and development of these enterprises.
