The IT potential of Uzbekistan was presented in Japan

From November 7 to 18, a delegation from IT Park visited Japan as part of the UJC IT Sector Study Visit program, organized by the Uzbekistan-Japan Center (UJC). The objective of the trip was to strengthen collaboration with Japan in the field of ICT, promote partnerships with leading Japanese IT companies, and explore new opportunities for collaboration.

Representatives from IT Park visited the Avaji Avatar Technology Center at Pasona, the international port corporation Kobe International Container Terminal (KIST), Fujitsu Technology Hall, and the E-learning office of Digital Knowledge.

During the visit, meetings were held with several Japanese companies, presenting Uzbekistanʼs potential as a new hub for IT outsourcing. In particular, negotiations took place on collaboration with the management of Japanese IT companies Acro Holdings, Fujitsu Group, SRA Holdings, Digital Knowledge, CAL, Pasona Group, and Beta Japan.

The delegation participated in an industry business training organized by JICA as part of the joint knowledge generation program. The training provided IT Park representatives with an educational program, including an overview of Reloexelʼs mission, the current situation in Japanʼs IT industry and its prospects, as well as general information about the visited companies.

Around 30 entrepreneurs, including representatives from Hatten Co Ltd, Seekcloud, and Noritsuisu Co Ltd, expressed interest in the IT Park during a meeting with representatives of Japanese enterprises and the International Youth Chamber of Japan. Participants discussed prospects for expanding collaboration, exchanging advice, knowledge, experience, and innovative solutions.

During a meeting with the young IT company datag, discussions focused on startup launches and personnel training. datag expressed interest in becoming a resident of IT Park and opening a branch in Uzbekistan.

IT Park representatives also visited the office of Acro Holdings Ltd, specializing in providing electronic support and management services for emerging IT companies.

The CEO of Global Technology Miyazaki Kazuhiro Nakamura, expressed interest in opening a branch in Uzbekistan.

The desire to open offices in Uzbekistan was also expressed by the president of IT company Well-Solu Co.Ltd, Fumio Takasaka, and the CEO of PARTNER Co.Ltd, Abduvokhid Rajabov. President of SRA Inc, Junji Hiratoy, announced plans to open an offshore company after his visit to Uzbekistan.

President and CEO of CAL Inc, Akira Maeda, expressed a willingness to visit Uzbekistan and IT Park to get acquainted with the reforms in Uzbekistanʼs IT sector.

As a result of the trip, an agreement was reached that Fariza Abidova, founder and CEO of the innovative consulting company Trusted Corporation, will launch her startup projects in Uzbekistan and support local startups.

Additionally, IT Park representatives presented at the “Open Seminar in Tokyo” during the Business Networking Event. The event was attended by about 50 experts from UJC, JICA, EoJ and CICC, representatives of Uzbek embassies in Japan, entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and representatives of Japanese companies. B2B meetings took place following the event.
