The opening of the ALTEN Group office in Uzbekistan is being discussed

On November 18, 2022, as part of a working visit to Germany, the delegation of Uzbekistan met with the leadership of the German representative office of ALTEN Group, an international engineering company that has branches in more than 20 countries, is one of the three largest providers of engineering and IT services around the world and has more than 40 thousand specialists.

The meeting was attended by IT Park Uzbekistan Director Farhod Ibragimov, ALTEN GmbH Project Director Markus Kolwig, ALTEN GmbH Division Director Emmanuel Jannin, Senior Project Manager at the AUTOSAR Competence Center at ALTEN GmbH Shakir Tulegenov and managers of IT Park Uzbekistan.

Representatives of IT Park made a detailed presentation on the activities of the organization, spoke about the competitive advantages of the country, special support provided by the government, which contributes to the positive dynamics of the development of the information technology sector and an increase in highly qualified personnel, and also made a proposal to open a representative office of ALTEN Group in Uzbekistan.

Markus Kolwig noted that the ALTEN Group company has a great need for software development specialists, but there is an acute shortage of IT-specialists in the European market, and therefore the company ALTEN Group is interested in IT Parkʼs offer to open its offices in the Republic of Uzbekistan and outsource projects to local IT-specialists in Uzbekistan.

The parties also discussed further advanced training of young local specialists at the ALTEN Group bootcamp through internship programs and exchange of experience to improve their knowledge and skills in working with international projects, especially taking into account the fact that about 600 thousand young people graduate from schools in the Republic every year who need employment.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to form all possible ways of cooperation, develop a roadmap based on the proposals and, according to the general conclusion of the board of directors of ALTEN Group, in March 2023, organize a return visit of company representatives to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
