The prospects of collaboration in the field of game development with East Games have been discussed

On November 10, the Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, the CEO of IT Park, Farhod Ibragimov, and the Executive Director of IT Park, Abdulahad Kuchkarov, visited the office of East Games.

The meeting was conducted by Anatoly Tsoy, the head of East Games, Akmal Salikhov, Business Expansion Director, and Larisa Kotikova, Chief Administrative Officer of the Lesta Games group of companies (of which East Games is a part). 

The purpose of the visit was to discuss the prospects of collaboration in the field of game development and the promotion of the gaming industry in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, Sherzod Shermatov emphasized the importance of digital technologies for the sustainable development of the country, highlighting priority areas such as supporting innovative companies, IT education, and creating a favorable ecosystem for developers.

Representatives of East Games provided an overview of the companyʼs current achievements, noting more than 1700 employees engaged in the group of companies and expressed readiness to strengthen collaboration with Uzbekistan. Successful projects and the companyʼs plans for further solidifying its position in the global market were discussed.

The Director of Development at East Games, Akmal Salikhov, presented a detailed analysis of the GameDev industryʼs development in Uzbekistan and shared the strategy for implementing educational programs for game development in the countryʼs universities. He also discussed East Gamesʼ plans in the field of education and support for developers in Uzbekistan, highlighting the companyʼs intention to popularize the industry, create branded labs in universities, and support GameDev training programs.

Meeting participants discussed IT Parkʼs support, including the establishment of unified platform for the practical application of regulatory norms and consulting. Additionally, East Gamesʼ legal team highlighted the need to modernize copyright law norms in Uzbekistan, given that the development of software in the digital era significantly outpaces legislative norms. Practical steps were outlined to ensure effective support for developers in Uzbekistan.

Following the negotiations, it was agreed to conduct regular meetings for operational information exchange and the coordination of strategies. Both parties expressed readiness and willingness to continue developing the industry, creating new jobs, and actively supporting the export of IT services to Uzbekistan.
