The sixth International Junior Informatics Cup, ISIJ CUP 2023, took place online from July 1st to 7th. The event was organized with the support of the International School of Informatics and brought together participants from 13 countries, including Russia, China, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tunisia, Cuba, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
A total of 250 students and 87 coaches from around the world participated in the competition. Among the participants were representatives from various regions of Uzbekistan, such as Jizzakh, Namangan, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khorezm, Navoi, Fergana, Karakalpakstan, as well as Tashkent and Tashkent Region.
The competition was based on mathematical informatics, algorithmization, and programming in C++. There were 22 teams in total, with 6 representing Uzbekistan.
In the mathematical tour, 13 participants from Uzbekistan became medalists in Group A, while 4 participants achieved victory and 5 became medalists in Group B.
In the "Coder" section, 5 participants from Group B became medalists.
During the marathon, students from Uzbekistan competed for the title of the best and won a total of 22 medals:
- Group B: 5 gold medals;
- Group A: 3 silver medals;
- Group B: 3 silver medals;
- Group A: 9 bronze medals;
- Group B: 2 bronze medals.
In the relay race, Teams 1 and 2 won two gold medals each, and Team 4 received one bronze medal. Shokhrukh Sadullaev, the coach of Team 1, ranked among the top 10 out of 87 coaches who participated in the final.
Cup ISIJ 2023 is an annual international informatics olympiad that consists of 5 rounds based on mathematical informatics, algorithmization, and programming in C++. Each year, the International Junior Informatics Cup attracts thousands of participants from around the world, ready to compete with the best, exchange experiences, and find like-minded individuals.
