TUIT launches an Incubation center

On May 6, 2022, Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi hosted a grand opening ceremony of the incubation center under IT Park. Among the attendants were the Minister of ICT Sherzod Shermatov, the rector of TUIT Bakhtiyor Makhkamov and the Deputy Director of IT Park Fayzulla Aripjanov.

The core tasks of the center include:

- conducting an incubation program for university’s startup projects,
- advising start-up teams,
- holding various events,
- providing assistance and support to students.

The premises of the incubation center are equipped with modern furniture and appliances. All the necessary conditions for working on innovative projects have been created.

In the future, the incubation center plans to provide consulting services, including contract research in all areas of the digital economy, educational psychology, physics, astronomy and education as well as participate in international grants, research project contests and conferences.

As the Minister of ICT noted, today expanding cooperation between higher educational establishments, research institutes and IT Parks plays a key role in reforming the education system.

During the visit, the Minister met with students of the university and talked to them about their innovative developments.

Now there are 33 incubation centers under IT Park across the country, 12 of which are located in Tashkent.
