Uzbek Universities took part in the international programming contest

On December 6-7 in Almaty, Kazakhstan, the NEERC final (ICPC semi-final) of the international programming competition took place.

The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is considered the world's largest college programming championship.  Every year, more than 2,000 students from more than 500 universities test their strength.

In total, 16 teams from Uzbek universities went to Almaty to participate in the competition.  Only two leading teams from Uzbekistan were awarded diplomas.

It:
 1. Team "Awesome Team" (Toshpulatov, Ashirmatov, Ashrapov) - Tashkent branch of Moscow State University named after  M.V.  Lomonosov.  The team was awarded a 2nd degree diploma after working on 5 tasks.

2. Algo Experts team (Karshiev, Kayumzhanov, Jalolov) - Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad Al-Khwarizmi.  The team was awarded a 3rd degree diploma for working on 4 tasks.

In total, 281 teams from the North Eurasian region from the universities of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, etc. took part in the competition.

The participants of the competition were asked to solve 12 problems, of which the teams of Russian universities MIPT and HSE, who took first and second places, solved 10 problems each.

According to the results of the competition, 69 teams (for solving 4 problems) were awarded certificates of the 3rd level, 27 teams (for solving 5-6 problems) - of the 2nd level, 13 teams (for solving 7+ problems) - of the 1st level.

Recall that the quarterfinal of the global programming competition "International Collegiate Programming Contest" ("ICPC") was held on November 27 as part of the "IT Park Cup", the main organizers were IT Park Uzbekistan and IT Park University.
