Uzbekistan elevates focus on eSports

On November 16, 2022, the decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to further develop and popularize e-sports" was adopted.

Based on this decision, organizational and practical work is being carried out in order to unite athletes, create the necessary conditions for achieving good results in international and regional competitions, and ensure the development of cyber sports.

Among them, practical work was carried out in connection with the day-and-night operation of cyber sports clubs and game centers in large cities and districts of Uzbekistan. Also, starting from June of this year, cybersport lessons were held for a total of 25 cyber-athletes in order to interest young people in cyber-sports and improve their knowledge and skills in this sport in all district IT-Centers of IT-Park in Tashkent city and Jizzakh regional branch.

In the next few years, further development of e-sports and creation of good opportunities for e-sports players is expected in Uzbekistan.
