Uzbekistan took second place at the Balatech international olympiad

On February 19, 2022, the first stage of the International Programming Olympiad was held, organized by Balatech, the creators of the online game of the same name for learning to program in the Logo language.

At the event, the Republic of Uzbekistan managed to take 2nd place with 49 winners: 6 silver and 43 bronze medals.

In terms of categories:

Among students in grades 5–7: 15 prizes;

Among students in grades 8–9: 21 prizes;

Among students in grades 10–11: 13 prizes.

The total number of people who registered for the Olympiad was more than 60,000, of which 25% (15 000 people) are participants from Uzbekistan.

In total, 2 200 participants went to the Olympiad, of which 34% (742 people) are representatives of our country.

The first place was taken by the Kyrgyz Republic with 102 prize-winners, the third by the Republic of Kazakhstan with 14 prizes, followed by the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Republic of Azerbaijan with 15 overall prizes. A total of 189 prizes were drawn.

Important: On March 5, 2022, the second stage of the Balatech International Olympiad will take place for 100 additional prizes!

After the second stage of the Olympiad, an official award ceremony will be held by the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies, IT Park Uzbekistan, and the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
