On July 3, 2023, the IT Park Uzbekistan was visited by the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Poland in Uzbekistan, Radosław Gruk, and a representative of the embassy, Ali Musabekov.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss future cooperation with IT Park and to familiarize themselves with the ICT direction of Uzbekistan.
The guests were welcomed by the Executive Director of IT Park, Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, the Head of the Investment and International Relations Department, Nigora Mirdjalilova, and the Head of the IT Service Export Development Department, Sultonmurad Rasulov.
Abdulakhad Kuchkarov welcomed the attendees and expressed gratitude for their time. He then proceeded with a presentation on IT Park Uzbekistan, highlighting its goals and achievements. During the meeting, representatives of IT Park informed the guests about the government's measures to transform the country into a regional IT hub.
Mr. Radosław Gruk showed a keen interest in the cooperation between Poland and Uzbekistan. During the meeting, he spoke positively about the business process outsourcing (BPO) sector in Uzbekistan and expressed his desire to act as a link in establishing connections between IT Park and Polish technology parks focused on exports.
The Ambassador also expressed interest in the events organized by IT Park and the Ministry of Digital Technologies, such as the Digital Leadership Forum 2023 and ICT Week 2023. The possibility of holding an investment seminar, Uzbekistan IT Days, in Poland was discussed to showcase the investment potential and opportunities in the field of information technology in Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the organization of B2B meetings with Polish companies specializing in business processes was considered as part of this seminar to promote cooperation in outsourcing.
Additionally, Mr. Radosław Gruk expressed his willingness to act as a link for the development of partnership between IT Park Uzbekistan and Krakow Technology Park, as well as the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia.
At the end of the dialogue, both sides acknowledged the positive changes that have taken place in the ICT sector in Uzbekistan in recent years. The meeting concluded with a tour of the IT Park's infrastructure and the presentation of a commemorative gift. Both parties agreed to maintain communication, which will lead to further development of cooperation.
