Young active programmers were introduced to the conditions in the buildings of IT Park Uzbekistan and discussed with them how to properly and fairly organize the 1 million dollar competition

On August 29, Minister of Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov held an open dialogue with young people and IT-specialists.

This meeting was held in the newly built buildings of the technological park of Software products and information technologies.

The main goal of the dialogue is to listen to the opinion of young people, to find solutions to the issues raised by them, and to convey the conditions and opportunities created by our state in the field of IT for young people.

On July 29 of this year, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the “Astrum” IT Academy located in the Yukori Chirchik district of Tashkent region and held a meeting with information technology specialists, young programmers, managers and employees of IT and communication companies.

At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the current state of work in the IT sector of our country and the priorities for its further development.

During the conversation, it was noted that the IT sector has become one of the main drivers of the world economy and serves the stable growth of all sectors.

In an open dialogue on August 22, 2022, by the Decree of the President “On measures to bring the field of information and communication technologies to a new stage in 2022-2023” was discussed with young people how to organize the processes of holding a competition for the Presidential Prize with a total prize fund of 1 million US dollars  at the expense of the Fund for Development of Information and Communication Technologies in order to annually support youth startup projects in the field of information and communication technologies.

During the meeting held by the Minister of ICT, it was emphasized that young people should implement start-up projects and make better efforts for the development of the IT sector.

It was noted that the number of foreign companies and highly qualified specialists entering the Republic of Uzbekistan as a result of the benefits and facilities created today in the IT sector is increasing sharply, and the issue of our youth becoming a competitive workforce was also emphasized.

During the dialogue, young people and IT specialists were given suggestions to increase the volume of exports in this direction, to contribute to the transformation of Uzbekistan into a regional IT Center.

In turn, the opinions and opinions of young people were heard.  It was also decided to create a platform for them to communicate with them and send their interesting questions and suggestions to the Ministry of ICT in an interactive form.  At the same time, it was mentioned that such open dialogues will be held on a regular basis.
