ZTE will allocate $100,000 for opening new BPO Centers

On October 25, on the second day of the ICT Week, which takes place in the new international tourist center of Samarkand “Silk Road Samarkand”, a meeting was held between the Minister for Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov, Director of IT Park Uzbekistan Farhod Ibragimov and General Director of ZTE Uzbekistan Wang Guangdong.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the development of the BPO-industry in Uzbekistan.  The dialogue participants noted the prospects for the development of the BPO-direction and agreed on the implementation of joint projects in this area.

Thus, within the framework of the meeting, a protocol was signed between IT Park and ZTE Uzbekistan on the allocation of $100,000 from ZTE to support and open new BPO Centers in Samarkand and Fergana.

BPO Centers will be equipped with the necessary equipment and machinery.  In addition, new jobs will be created in Samarkand and Ferghana thanks to new institutions.
