April 6, the ICT Ministry, UNDP, IT Park Uzbekistan, and the World Bank came together on a round table to discuss the issues of inclusive digitalization and business process outsourcing in Uzbekistan.
The event was attended by the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov, IT Park team lead Farhod Ibragimov and Deputy Director Bahodir Ayupov, Acting Director and Practice Manager for Digital Development in Europe and Central Asia of the World Bank Nicole Klingen, Representative of the World Bank in Uzbekistan Marco Mantovanelli, UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan Matilda Dimovska, as well as international and local experts.
The session focused on two key topics as digital development in Uzbekistan and business process outsourcing implementation (BPO). The participants discussed the measures taken to develop BPO services in Uzbekistan, including the involvement of young people in this area.

• Bahodir Ayupov, Deputy Director of IT Park Uzbekistan (“Business Process Outsourcing in Uzbekistan: Impact and Consequences”);
• Business Process Advisor Govindaswamy Jayaram Naidu Parthasarthy (“Digitalization and BPO: India’s perspective”);
Two of the IT Park resident companies focusing on business process outsourcing "INCOMSOFT LOGISTICS" and "REVOTECH" also attended International Round Table where they were invited to speak about their professional experiences.
In conclusion, participants noted achievements of Uzbekistan in digital development over the past few years and considered opportunities for expanding BPO market in Uzbekistan.
