Automation and digitalization of the banking sector with Epam Systems

On this year’s November 25, a meeting was held at the central office of Aloqabank between representatives of Epam Systems and the bank’s management in order to get a detailed acquaintance with the banking and financial sector of Uzbekistan, as well as analyze the needs and opportunities of the local market and discuss issues of further cooperation.

The main participants of the event were Andrey Shubaderov, Deputy General Director of Epam Systems Representative Office in Belarus, Artak Oganesyan, Deputy General Director of Epam Systems Representative Office in Russia, Alexey Lebedev, Epam Systems Russia Business Development Director, Renat Akhtyamov, General Director of Epam Systems Uzbekistan, and Nasiba Nasretdinova, Deputy CEOs of Aloqabank  and Farrukh Muminov.

During the event, issues of digitalization of the banking and financial system of Uzbekistan were raised by improving the software and systemic components of banks, developing innovative IT products that simplify the procedure for making money transfers from one country to another, lending and financing small and medium-sized businesses.

It was noted that the automation of banking and financial processes requires high-quality data analysis, integration with government service centers and the development of unified software.

Epam Systems also trains young people and regularly recruits talented programmers to its team to implement their projects in different parts of the world.  Today the company works with services for the implementation of money transfers Zolotaya Korona and Western Union.

On the initiative of Epam Systems in Russia, together with Sberbank, a project for online business registration was launched, which made it possible to significantly increase the efficiency of young entrepreneurs on the way to building a large company.  Simplification of the enterprise registration processes allows the state to save money and time, which had a positive effect on the economy of the Russian Federation.

In addition, projects to create an online wallet and automate payment methods using QR codes, which can be used in stores, restaurants and cafes, have enjoyed great success.

Particularly, Epam Systems executives have shown interest in cooperation with Aloqabank for the further implementation of projects to automate banking and financial processes.

Cooperation between Aloqabank and Epam Systems Uzbekistan will help develop the financial and banking sector, simplify the procedures for obtaining loans, financing projects, money transfers and a number of other services provided by the banks of Uzbekistan.
