Awarding ceremony of the most active participants of TechBika project is held in Khorezm

On April, 2021 the awarding ceremony of the participants of TechBika project was held in Khorezm, in which 430 women and girls took part.

The Deputy Director of IT Park for Regional Development Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, the Director for Innovation at IT Park Jakhongir Radjabov as well as the representatives of the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan and a branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi attended the ceremony.


«TechBika» is a project aimed at educating 1,000 girls and women of Khorezm in information and communication technologies and programming. The project is organized by the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan, IT Park and the Khokimiyat of Khorezm region.

Target audience of the project:

• Graduates of schools;

• Female students in higher education;

• Female students who could not enter the university;

• Low income and impoverished girls between the ages of 12 and 30.

It is worth noting that the youngest participant of the project is 11 years old.


Currently, the second phase of the project is being implemented. The second phase of the project will last until June 9, 2021 on 8 fields: computer literacy, English, project management, robotics, freelance, graphic design, as well as courses based on “One Million Uzbek Coders” project.

The opening ceremony of the project was held from 12 to 13 February 2021, with the participation of more than 250 women.

From 1 to 9 March, tests were conducted for 543 women. Since March, 10,384 women who successfully passed the test have started studying Computer literacy in IT Centers of Khorezm region.

This project has enabled the excellent part of society to understand and appreciate the richness of their inner potential, to learn basic knowledge of information technologies and to develop other valuable qualities which are necessary for employment and further career in the IT and other spheres.
