From Germany to Uzbekistan: Why did our compatriot decide to build an IT career in Uzbekistan?

Today, the IT sector is rapidly gaining momentum not only around the world, but also in Uzbekistan. So there are a lot of opportunities to become an IT specialist and rise in this field. The last years of development of our country have made themselves felt, giving people more and more opportunities to develop in the field of IT and become highly qualified specialists, the number of which continues to grow and does not even think to stop.

One of the most successful IT specialists in our country is Dilshodbek Kuryazov. He is 34 years old, lives in the city of Urgench, and he has a huge amount of knowledge and many years of experience behind him. After graduating from University in Uzbekistan, he was able to start a career in Germany without any difficulty. However, instead of staying in one of the most developed and promising countries in Europe, he decided to return Home and promote his activities here in his native Uzbekistan.

Dilshod told us in an interview about why he decided to return to Uzbekistan, what opportunities there are for IT specialists, the prospects of the IT sector and whether a higher education diploma is needed in this field.

- How did you start your career in IT and what do you do now?

- First, I studied at the University in this field, graduated with honors from the bachelor's and master's degrees in the Urgench branch of TUIT, then I defended my doctorate with honors in Germany. Now I give lectures at the Urgench branch of TUIT and work for the American company.

- What was your first earnings in IT and what is it now?

- I was very happy when I received my first salary and sold my first software project. Then I earned about $ 120. I immediately informed my father about my first earnings.

- Did you have any concerns that you might fail and that the IT sphere is not for You?

- At first, Yes, I was afraid to lose. But later, after visiting several developed countries, studying and working there, my confidence in what I was doing became very high.

- How did you manage to overcome your doubts?

- I studied English, studied and researched the field of IT. The most important thing was hard work and high hopes, self-confidence and the idea that you should never give up.

- What would you do if it wasn't for IT?

- I can't imagine my life without IT, or a life where I'm not an IT specialist.

- Why did you decide to leave Germany instead of staying there and continue your career?

- First of all, the recent changes in the country somehow affected my consciousness, I began to see a bright future for our country. Good changes and improvements in all areas: wages, reduced bureaucracy, a good work environment, and more were also the reasons. More importantly, I wanted to teach young enthusiastic students how to develop our country, create software companies, develop IT research in the country, and bring all IT fields to the international level. To do this, I have already implemented many international projects in Germany in the field of smart cities, smart modeling and software development, in which our young people also participate.

- Do you think you need to graduate from University to become a successful IT specialist?

- Definitely, a University degree is not necessary, especially in Uzbekistan. Because our universities do not provide enough education to become a good IT specialist. Moreover, in just 6 months or a maximum of 1 year in training centers or doing self-education, you can become a good developer. 1 year of studying any software development technology is enough to become a novice specialist. You don't need to have a higher education to do this.

- Do you think You would have been able to achieve all these results and achievements in the field of IT without higher education?

"Probably not. If University students are given good knowledge and a solid Foundation (base) of IT and software technologies, it will definitely help to achieve better results. Only in this case, a higher education diploma can help. Thus, it is necessary to restructure the curriculum in universities with a more specific focus and problem-oriented learning style.

- What advice would you give to young people who have doubts about IT?

- I advise them to never doubt whether it is worth doing IT, because this is without doubt our future. Without this, our country will not be able to achieve high results or develop. The main thing to achieve good results is to study and research intensively, make big plans, and never doubt your bright future. It is not for nothing that they say that hard work is the key to success.

Today, Dilshod Kuryazov is the founder of the it company Coding Academy. The total amount of his company's exports is about 70 million. sum per month. In the near future, Dilshod plans to join the ranks of IT Park residents and establish a large software company here in Uzbekistan.

Summing up, we can conclude that it does not matter whether you have a higher education or not, if you have a goal, you need to achieve it and then everything will work out.
