IT Park hosted a meeting with Huawei

On April 11, the IT Park management met with representatives of Huawei Company. IT Park Director Farhod Ibrahimov, CEO of Huawei Chen Jiakai, Marketing Director Wei Yongqin and Director of Corporate Business Department Cheng Hao attended the meeting.

Huawei is one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies. To date, the company has 170 offices worldwide with 195,000 employees. 

As was noted at the meeting, the Chinese IT giant considers Uzbekistan as one of the priority markets in Central Asia.

Representatives of the parties discussed the development of BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) and cooperation in this field, as well as the possibility of organizing joint training programs.

The sides also put the focus on the importance of involving women in IT and inclusive IT-education. There was an exchange of views about the improvement of conditions and the importance of introducing inclusive education for IT sector’s development.

As a result, the companies voiced several promising areas for cooperation, primarily the organization of IT courses and experience exchange involving foreign experts for the training of local professionals.

Furthermore, the parties covered IT Park’s regional and infrastructure development and the launch of the mobile IT-Academy.
