IT Park takes part in the international exhibition of Skolkovo Tech Week 2021 in Moscow

From May 31 to June 5, 2021, the delegation of IT Park headed by IT Park Deputy Director for Innovation Jakhongir Rajabov took part in the international exhibition of Skolkovo Tech Week 2021 in Moscow.

Tech Week 2021 is a 3-day applied conference and exhibition on innovative technologies for solving business problems. Tech Week platform brings together over 3,800 best entrepreneurs from different parts of Russia and abroad twice a year. Traditionally, during the event there is an exhibition, where over 150 companies present their technologies for solving business problems.

The delegation, during their visit, were able to establish contact and relations with the residents of the Skolkovo Technopark, get acquainted with Russian technological solutions, take part in conferences, and also have a conversation with relevant Russian departments.

In particular, the delegates negotiated and established contacts with the following companies:

- MVP Lab is an accelerator that designs products and helps bring them to the market;
- Smartex is a company which provides comprehensive support for startup projects;

- ONLY is an analytical IT company;

- Формула Цвета is a computer graphics studio;

- Garpix is a company for optimization of cargo space, monitoring and accounting of containers, trucks;

- O2Startup is a service to support startups in the legal part;

- PlanForce is a personnel management system;

- SkillExpert is an educational platform on mentoring.
It should be noted that the representatives of IT Park also met with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), University 2035 and the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF).

During the negotiations, the parties agreed on holding joint events, projects and hackathons. Moreover, IT Park representatives and ASI discussed in detail the Go Global program in terms of its structure, methodology, practical efficiency and the possibility of its application in Uzbekistan.

As a result of the meeting held with ASI, it was agreed to hold a second international online hackathon on open data and artificial intelligence «World AIA&Data Challenge 2021», where IT Park will represent Uzbekistan.

It is worth reminding that in July 2020, the first international online hackathon on open data and artificial intelligence «World AIA&Data Challenge 2021» was held with the involvement of ASI, where Uzbekistan participated for the first time.

The representatives of ASI and University 2035 have shown an interest in integrating their project into Uzbekistan and implementing joint activities with IT Park.

During the meeting held with the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF), the parties discussed important issues related to the increasing literacy about venture financing and popularize it about the population of Uzbekistan.
The IIDF, in its own turn, showed willingness to help in the form of advisory services and conducting training in order to form a positive climate for venture capital activity in Uzbekistan.

 

Besides, the parties agreed to provide senior students with the Internet enterprise education course from IIDF, with the possibility of translation into Uzbek.

Participation in such events will enable IT Park to create more opportunities and conditions for the population of Uzbekistan in the relevant and in-high demand areas of information technology. In particular, IT Park, together with international partners, will be able to implement major international events and projects in the sphere of startup, development etc., in which local youth can participate and reveal their potential.

The Agency for Strategic Initiatives is a Russian autonomous non-profit organization founded by the Government of Russia. The agency aims to implement a set of measures in the economic and social spheres. In particular, for the promotion of priority projects, the implementation of measures to improve the business environment in Russia, the development of professional personnel, etc. Chairman of the supervisory board is Vladimir Putin. One of the main areas of the ASI is to coordinate the interaction with financial organizations, development institutions, and funds as well as to coordinate interaction with authorities on the provision of support measures, assistance in solving systemic problems.

University 2035 is the first university in Russia which provides opportunities for professional development by creating individual educational trajectories and tracking digital skill profiles. It is aimed at training business leaders, participants of the National Technology Initiative and professionals entering new global markets. The University aims to increase digital literacy and launch initiatives. University 2035 is primarily a digital platform with an ever-expanding list of educational opportunities and four reference services provided by artificial intelligence. The university does not issue diplomas, it does not have the rector, and it works in the model of ‘digital university’.

The Internet initiatives development Fund is a Russian venture investment Fund established by the Agency for strategic initiatives at the suggestion of Vladimir Putin. The Fund provides investments to technology companies at the early stages of development, conducts acceleration programs and participates in the development of methods of legal regulation of the venture industry. Since 2013, IIDF has been acting as the most active investment fund in Russia. According to the Dow Jones report, IIDF ranked first in Europe in terms of the number of transactions in the first quarter of 2014. As of December 12, 2016, IIDF has invested 267 early stage companies. Traditionally, IIDF is considered the largest player in the development of start-up projects throughout the CIS.
