Namangan will welcome an IT Academy

On August 17, a delegation from the Namangan region, led by governor Shavkatjon Abdurazzokov, arrived in Tashkent to get acquainted with IT Park.

The guests visited the IT Park complex that is being constructed. The delegation was impressed by the territory of the complex, and noted that the construction is proceeding at a fast pace, and the buildings are impressive and modern.

“This magnificent complex in the center of Tashkent consists of several high-rise buildings and social facilities, where all organizations, companies, enterprises and specialists related to the IT industry of Uzbekistan. The location of the ministry, IT companies, banks, telecom operators, residents and, of course, the IT Park itself in one place will create great convenience. We can use this experience in the regions as well,” the governor said.

On the same day, Shavkatjon Abdurazzokov, together with his colleagues, visited the Astrum IT Academy located in Yukorichirchik district.

The delegation were told about the main areas of the educational institution and its advantages, in particular, the unique academic opportunities and career growth under the Silicon Valley program offered by the Academy.

The participants discussed issues of cooperation and establishing joint projects. The meeting was productive: the governor of Namangan and the Astrum IT Academy signed a cooperation agreement. In particular, Astrum representatives will assist Namangan partners open an academy in the region.

“The experience of IT Academy “Astrum” in this regard worth noting. In such a short period of time, it achieved tremendous results. That is why we need their assistance in launching the academy in this region.  Our cooperation will boost the development of the industry in the region,” said Shavkatjon Abdurazzokov.

Recall that on July 29, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Astrum and spoke with representatives of the IT sector.

The President recognized the potential and results of the Namangan region in IT and instructed the governor of the region to visit the academy within a month to get acquainted with the conditions and opportunities and create a similar educational establishment in Namangan.
