Selected participants of the first wave of the Tumaris Tech project to support women's technology entrepreneurship

September 14, 2020 Tashkent, Uzbekistan-on Saturday, September 12, the Pitch Day of the Tumaris Tech project to support women's entrepreneurship in the field of innovative technologies was held.

The Tumaris Tech project was developed by IT Park Uzbekistan with the support of the USAID project for the development of entrepreneurship and the business environment, and is aimed at increasing the involvement of women in the ICT ecosystem. The peculiarity of this project is that the courses and programs provided are aimed at a female audience and are intended for aspiring women entrepreneurs who dream of turning their hobby into a favorite and profitable business.

In total, 203 applications were received, from which experts selected 20 startups that received the right to participate in the first wave of the project. The average age of the participants was 30.5 years, while the youngest participant was 15 years old, and the oldest was 51 years old.

Ukww.UZ-educational resource for children from 3 to 18 years old.

ProSto-online service for self-cooking homemade food.

Find a doctor-a service for finding medical staff, doctors, and clinics.

Eduland.uz -portal with information about private kindergartens and schools in Uzbekistan, accumulating multi-factor reviews.

UzWedding is a project in the field of wedding tourism.

Handmade – a website for selling handmade products, similar to Etsy for Central Asian countries.

Live book-portal for audiobooks.

FreshDeals_Home – grocery delivery service at home.

Autoser is a mobile application and website for storing information about the activities of beauty salons.

AMA-development of special light bulbs for remote switching on and off of light.

DIS-COUNT is an application for paying for goods and services, as well as for receiving discounts, points, or cashback under the customer loyalty program.

Hizmat is a mobile app for finding female employees who provide household services.

 

AVESTO soft-software development for the textile industry.

Alphamama.uz – an online resource for mothers that combines reference, informative and communication resources.

Baxt va Boylik-educational platform for women's pre-departure training

SmartPark-a project to develop technology for smart Parking.

GoSmart is a platform for online internships, online courses, and career advice, including career guidance.

Unions is a platform for volunteers and people who need their services.

Zarplata.uz – online portal that provides access to up-to-date information about the level of remuneration, compensation and benefits in real time 24/7.

Eyecaria is a platform for diagnosing cancer that forms in the retina of children.

The project is expected to create at least 45 startups in two waves of incubation and acceleration, which will be held online. Teams will also receive experienced mentors who will guide and support them, give them the necessary advice and comments. And the most successful projects will be able to get access to the investment platform.
