The third wave of the project ITWomen.Uz starts!

On April 11, 2022, the third wave of the project ITWomen.Uz, organized by the Ministry for Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan and IT Park, together with the Ministry for Support of the Mahalla and Family, Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, Amity University in Tashkent, as well as the university  Inha in Tashkent.

The project is aimed at attracting women to the field of information and communication technologies. The main goal of the project is to provide training and employment opportunities for women and girls in the field of IT.

The third wave of the project will consist of training courses on computer literacy and will last 2 weeks, from 11 to 28 April.  Classes will be held 3 times a week in all IT-Centers of the Republic. To date, 205 IT-Centers are actively operating throughout Uzbekistan.

Recall that at the first stage of the project, more than 2,000 women had the opportunity to undergo online and offline training at IT-Centers. In particular, in such areas as: computer literacy, development of mobile applications and websites, web design and psychological preparation.

Out of 2,000 students, 1,228 participants successfully completed the courses and on April 2 were awarded certificates and prizes at Amity University in Tashkent.

In total, 2,330 girls completed courses under the project in 2021.
